To Party Too Hard

This piece is a corollary to “Ephemeral Blitz” published on May, 18, 2025 in which it was commented, “The RSS/BJP tirade against Pakistan led to an unprovoked aggression on May 7, 2025. However, not only was Narendra Modi’s narrative of associating the freedom struggle of oppressed Kashmiri people in IIOJ&K with terrorism dismantled, but his malicious narrative of Akhand Bharat was also effectively smashed by the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan. The Indian incursion across Pakistan—despite nuclear deterrence being in place—failed to establish a new normal, which was clearly the result of underestimating Pakistan’s conventional combat capability as well as its willingness to rapidly climb the nuclear threshold ladder with the resolve to take down all aggressors before they hit the ground. The most astounding professional blow was delivered by the Pakistan Air Force, Missile Force, Air Defence, cyber experts, and Army troops deployed along the Line of Control, along with other strike formations ready for a riposte. This timely show of strength sent shivers down Indian spines, prompting India’s new strategic allies to immediately jump into the arena and manage a temporary ceasefire. Much to India’s political, diplomatic, psychological, and military embarrassment, its dream of a swift victory turned out to be an ephemeral blitz—even shorter than the Indian offensive of 1965. Thanks to Almighty Allah, both countries moved back from the brink of a nuclear apocalypse, the horrors of which are unimaginable for the entire world.”

Above scuttlebutt notwithstanding, the continuing boasting and more than frequent reference to the 7-10 May 2025 clang by the ruling elite and some overzealous commentators has started to sound like ‘to party too hard’; and more like provocative exhortations. From a psychological perspective, celebration is a behavioral intervention; a form of emotional reinforcement, a shift in attention and a moment of cognitive realignment. And that is how and where it needs to find its place. Although it is a given that the national morale got a boost, yet the perpetual efforts to gain domestic political mileage and international pat on the strategic back is not without backlash. POTUS Trump’s tall claims of stopping eight conflicts including India-Pakistan above referred spry clash and repeatedly jeering India has many self serving as well as potential nefarious angles. The fugacious praises of Pakistan’s leadership by Mr. Trump looks like an obvious trap, which he previously used for Indian PM Modi too; and Mr.Trump’s predecessors have also been using such extolment for Pakistani rulers to make them happily comply with the American wish lists. American hand in Israeli glove for complete annihilation of Gaza/ Palestine, realisation of Abraham Accord, role against Iran and Afghanistan, aims associated with Nuclear Pakistan and putting the whole of Middle East in a tailspin while skimming off trillions of petro-dollars is not a secret. Hence the lesson to be remembered by Pakistan must be, ‘once bitten, twice shy’, rather than taking false pride in fawning smiles, rickety handshakes and peevish hugs.
On the strategic plane, we must never forget the role played by China with her technological, military and diplomatic support, which flowed to Pakistan as a physical manifestation of a divine help. As stated umpteen times, the formal membership of SCO and CSTO is far more crucial for Pakistan’s security, economic well being and for regional as well as global peace and stability. Therefore, instead of looking like an inert and dud state seeking to align itself with meek OIC countries, Pakistan’s words and action on the foreign policy front need to be commensurate with our public aspirations and strategic military stature despite wanting economic profile due to rampant corruption and faulty policies as an IMF/ World Bank slave.
At home, It is painful to see that instead of improving the management, National Strategic assets are being sold and leased out without any accountability of the plunderers and the defaulters. The Armed Forces are always rendering supreme sacrifices against ever compounding internal and external threats and the nation thankfully acknowledges that without needing hoax and shady political speakers appearing on media purportedly as spokespersons. They do more harm than good to the great image of our valiant defenders of Pakistan. Hence, Armed Forces must guard against political scheming; as the incumbent fire spitting politicians and their invested commentators maliciously mix their hate filled rhetoric against their political opponents, with hollow praises for military leadership, despite their on record fiery anti establishment public speeches made whenever out of power. Therefore, before the enemies of Pakistan come out with a new sinister strategy, enforcing a ceasefire on the internal political front by putting leash on the notorious spoilers is essential for an honest and wholesome political reconciliation. The political victimization and undermining of judiciary must end; the good environs will fall in line along with the brave people of Pakistan. It goes without saying that for the achievement of this noble and inevitable feat too, the nation attaches its hopes with the military leadership. Hoping for the best, Insha’ Allah. Pakistan Zindabad!
